| Epicurean Products
When one hears the word Epicurean these days one often thinks of pretentious and expensive products for the elite. This is actually opposite the philosophy that Epicurus (Greek Philosopher, 341-270 BC) espoused . Epicurus encouraged people to fill their lives with pleasurable things. He wanted us to live a life without pain; both physical and mental pain (e.g. worry and anxiety). This meant not striving to acquire things that were beyond your reach or so expensive that you couldn’t afford to have them as often as you wanted them. This meant eating food that was of good quality yet accessible while spending time with the people that made you happy.
